AML and financial crime prevention
Nuvaultance maintains an AML/ATF program covering client verification, transaction monitoring, record keeping, mandatory reporting to regulators, and mechanisms for countering financial crime. The program is reviewed as Canadian requirements evolve.
CIRO and crypto asset trading
Execution and custody are placed with CIRO-member partners, and the operating model accounts for the requirements applicable to regulated crypto asset trading platforms in Canada, including investment dealer rules where they apply.
Transparency about regulation
Nuvaultance maintains the registrations, permissions, and compliance procedures required for the services it provides in each relevant jurisdiction. Registration details are confirmed with the relevant provider on request.
Registration does not remove risk
Regulation does not eliminate investment risk and does not guarantee profit. Digital assets are subject to market volatility and the other risks described on the risk disclosure page. Deposits, eligible securities, and digital assets are treated differently under Canadian protection schemes, and the security page explains what CDIC and CIPF do and do not cover.
